[Edge Color - For Color Cameras Only (3D Edge Position)]
Set the criteria to use to search for an edge.
- In the "Item tab" area, tap [Edge color].
- If necessary, check "Edge color" in the "Color setting" area.
When checked, the edge will be detected according to the subsequently specified "Edge color" and "Detection mode".
When unchecked, positions in the measurement region where the color changes drastically are detected as an edge.
- Specify the color that is used as the edge (the reference color to be used to detect the edge).
In the "Color setting" area, tap [...] for "R" (red), "G" (green), and "B" (blue), and specify a value for each color.
Each target color is set in the "Color setting" area.
Note - In the "Image display" area, you can specify the color area you want to detect by dragging the cursor from the upper left corner to the lower right corner of that area.
- Specify the allowable color difference for detecting the edge, using the edge color as the reference.
In the Color Specification Setting area, tap [...] for each of "Difference R", "Difference G", and "Difference B", and specify a value respectively.
The larger the "Difference" values, the larger the color range that is used to detect the edge.
The default value of each "Difference" is "5".
- Select an edge detection method in "Detection mode".

- Color IN
This is the mode in which the position where colors other than the specified edge color start to change to the specified edge color is detected as the edge.
- Color OUT
This is the mode in which the position where the specified edge color starts to change to colors other than the specified edge color is detected as the edge.
